The Big Party!
For Megan's Party, she wanted to do something special. We went to the Regency on the East side of Madison. It's a beauty school. We had 7 girls, all from the Basketball team, and they went to get their hair, nails and Make-up done. I think they loved it...many of them took a pamphlet to take home to mom for their parties! They all looked BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! After the party we came home and had a pizza party and played a few games. Then the movies, watching Gremlins and Ramona and Bezzus. Great picks Megan!
Megan also wanted a special cake for the girls. She drew a picture, took it in to wal-mart and they designed it for her. It's the picture she drew! She was SO excited that they did it right!
Megans 10th Birthday
On Megan's 10th Birthday it was a very busy day. You see, Megan now plays on the Comets 4th Grade Basketball team. On the morning of her Birthday, for the second year in a row, they have had a game to play. This year they played Bellville, Wi, in Bellville. They lost their game, but they did an awesome job! Although bummed, they should be very proud! In the group photo L to R front row is Kaitlyn Trow, Sydney Mortaloni, Paige Shapiro and Megan, Second row, L to R, Payton Zurfluh, Sydney Bloedel, Madison Peters, Libby Beck and Kirsten Oliver. Coaches are Cal Anderson, Ryan Zurfluh and Kirk Oliver.

Dad's Retirement Party!
My sister and I planned a retirement party for my Dad. It was at the Landmark bar in De Forest. Dad retired from Head Casodian after 23 years. On his last day of emplyment on Jan 7th, the secretary Jo Blood walked him around at 3:20pm. She took him thru every hallway, as she took him around, every kid in the school came out and cheered as my Dad walked by the classrooms. It was very touching for him, and for my sister and I as he told us the story. We had a huge turnout, and he LOVED it!!!
On Friday January 7th, 2011
, when we awoke in the morning, our heat was out. It was really cold that day, a high of 6 degrees, with a windchill of minus 6 degrees. I called Brian Dahl who works for Landmark and had him come to work on it....but this wasn't the first time. On Christmas eve it was out and John came to fix it, then again Christmas morning. We called John and he ended up calling Brian to come help him. They worked 4 hours on it, finally got it working. Only to end up kerplunking on us on Friday. When Brian tested the co2 levels, it was measured at 91 outside and supposed to be 20...they turned the furnace off right away, new part cost $700.00, or replace it. The furnace that was put in the home was used as a furnace in a mobile home...a cheap one...Rick Eager is a cheap ass!!!! whew I feel better! Anyways...they came in and 20 min later we had 4 Landmark guys putting in our furnace...it was finished by 4pm!
On New Years Day, we celebrated Christmas with my Sister and the family and my Father.
Megan has a love for young children. She will be a great mother some day. Ella is 2 years old, and loves Megan just as much. This is my favorite picture of them ever taken. The girls played store and house all day. I love my family!

Christmas 2010
Christmas!!! I love this holiday!! Here is our tree from this Christmas. I could sit and stare at it...while listening to music...silly I know. This year the kids got a lot of wonderful presents. They were both excited on Christmas morning and it was killing them to wait till daddy got the video camera ready so we could record. Then there's mom with the camera...I think sometimes I drive them crazy! But they are only children once! Merry Christmas.
so sorry it's been so long!

Hi! It's been a long time since I posted, and I figure I better catch you up. We did a lot of camping this summer. We loved it...every weekend of it. It's so relaxing, and I LOVE the family time. The kids started school in September. Megan is in 4TH grade and enjoying all her friends she is making, and really enjoying their friendships. Tyler is in 1ST grade and loves his Teacher, Ms.Cashman. Megan had her when she was in first grade too. He is really enjoying school and has learned how to read, and quite good at it. In October, I was shocked to find out about my dearest friend since the 3RD grade. Sylvia and I have never missed a Birthday or Christmas phone call until this year. In October, one week after her Birthday, Sylvia lost her life to depression. I can never know how she felt, I don't know much about it, but have made a promise to myself to learn about it....for her. She was a sister to me. my friend who knew all my secrets, my life...I miss her, and Sylvia, I love you even in death! I cry nightly thinking I can just call and hear your voice....but I can't. Someday we will meet again...
